but what came to my mind is fabrics with biologically active colonies that permit or enhance the growth of skin or replacement tissue. This is being done with pig membrane now, but being able to control the shape and content of fabric would permit administering medicines and growth enhancers to reinforce muscles and blood vessels during injury repair.
Think of the fabric as a very thin skin graft with a coating of antibiotics.
