I learned this song for my friend, because it's her favourite, but I'm too embarassed to actually play it for her (I'm really not a performer!) so I taped it and YouTubed it so I could show it to her.
However, watching it back I have decided I sound like a chipmunk. Can you watch it for me and tell me, is it any good, or so mortifyingly embarassing that I should delete it immediately?!
Thanks

Okay, so you're not too keen on showing your face - Why not? The singing is really a lot better than about 98% of those on the X Factor (or similar shows) and you aren't so bad with the guitar either. If your friend doesn't like it then you'll have to learn to choose your friends better :-) Anyone who took that much trouble to sing for me on You Tube would get top marks, just for effort.

It sounds okay for an amateur but half your head is missing on the video and my wife who can hear this over the speakers is screaming shut that off. She don't know that you are not a professional performer or why you are playing or even your YA! but going by her unbaised verdict I would delete it.
My own biased advice would be to re-sing it again but put some emotion in your voice and look confident and have all of you in the video frame.

Heard a lot of stuff a damn sight worse and I'm talking about about paid performers, not X-Factor drivel! The singing is fine, the guitar needs work and of course the "visuals" are poor. Keep it on.

It sounds alright. And you don't sound like a chipmunk. I'm sure your friend will appreciate it...

Why do you not like your prescence? I think it's just fine. I wish I could play guitar like that.
