I have been late for school and work plenty of times. I am running out of excuses to say. But 1 excuse I like , I used it at school and work it goes like this............When asked "Why was I late?" I would reply........"The train had a flat tyre, and it took ages to change it."
Trains don't have tyres....at first I got away with it, but the second time, I got detention. And at work, my boss just laughed, and said to me.....Kev, you should become a comedian.

I was late for school every day in year 9 (the year I turned 14), and it was because I didn't get up in time. I got sent up to the office and had to fill out a late form every time.
Only time I've been seriously late for work was at my first job, which was one I had three years ago. I was half an hour late because I had to get a 30 minute train ride, then catch a bus through peak hour traffic every morning to get to work. The reason I was late that time was due to train delays, and traffic. Thankfully my boss was very understanding that day, and if I had been on time, there wasn't anything for me to do because our work system had been down all morning that morning

Been late to school & work a few times. Got the big telling off at school & a speak on how being late & **** is not tolerated, but work was cool about. It was only a couple of times & for good reasons. They were real cool about it as they understand you have to balance life & work commitments.

Only once last year when I shut my alarm off by accident. About 2 hrs late for a 3rd shift job. My supervisor didn't write me up for it since it doesn't happen very often. But he has for other people that have been late more times.

Like every morning. I have about 50 late slips in my wallet, and another like 160 at home.. Thats what people know me for.
The school doesn't do anything about it, I'd be stuffed if they did...
