whoppeeeeeeee an extra hour in my fav place - bed!!! any other countries doing this as well?

edit - Nutster I don't know which country you are in but I GAIN an hour through the night - hence an extra hour in bed. If I go to bed at 1oclock am I put the clock back to 12midnight,

Only countries in the Northern Hemephisphere put clocks back, as we are heading for winter and it gets dark early.
In the Southern Hemephisphere, they put the clocks forward, as they are approaching Summer, and it stay day light for most of the day.

In the UK, the real reason the clocks go back 1 hour in October is so that Scottish farmers in the Highlands do not have to start work in pitch black during winter.

nutster has got very confused-clocks go back at 0200 meaning we gain an hour! to nutster - for example if it should be 3am it will now be 2am - meaning 1 more hour till your 9am rise! i am in ireland,

actually i thought we were the only country to do it glad to see i was mistaken
and who was that that said you LOSE an hour that happens in spring when the clocks go back up

I am in australia and our clocks go forward 1 hour tonight. so we lose i hour sleep , they go back on the last saturday in march 2008.enjoy your extra hour

sorry to say this but the clocks going back, means you lose a hour.
not sure how many other countries have day-light saving but imagine there's a few.
doh i'm on planet nutster today.
it's lonely & i love to be different,
the dog will still wake me up at the usual time, clocks don't go back for him.
like i said me, i'll lose an hour!
