I am reminded of an ancient Greek myth. A goddess had a human lover... through some sequence of events... the human man was made immortal. But, unfortunately, the gods have a sense of humor that humanity doesnt appreciate. The immortal man was not an unaging man. He continued (and still continues) to age, becoming more decrepit and useless and weak... but he wont ever die. The curse of immortality... the curse of immortality without the gift of eternal youth (eternal naivety)
The point is that life is here to live. As short as it is, and as much as there is to enjoy... we only enjoy what time we have because we know it will end.
Given eternity, what would you do with it? Waste it away like you currently are, surfing the net for some meaning to your life like most people? Wake up Neo... or should I say Mr Anderson?. Life is what you make it, not what you dream it could be.
Expiration dates on milk cartons give you inspiration and motivation to drink it sooner. As is life, we live for the sake of living while we have the time to do so, a gift from god. Its a gift to die... eventually. Perhaps a significantly longer longevity would be nice... but immortality?
That would become boring, monotonous, routine, pointless. What point is there to life for an explorer when there is nothing left to explore? What will you do once youve experienced it all? What mistakes will be had when you can learn from the experienced their mistakes?
Risk and fear are what make like worth living, too, because its fun, risky, to flirt with the Morae, to challenge fate. A bit of an adrenaline rush, too
Without risk of consequences as severe as death, we would have no death penalty and our prisons would become packed. Morality would decline. Forethought would decline. A great human evolutionary imperative that keeps us striving to improve our lives, our technology, our purpose... is the desire to continue existing, living. And coexisting harmoniously is an aspect to that goal.
Without the risk, the potential... with the guarantee of tomorrow... what will keep you from doing as you please, sitting under a fig tree wearing your olive-leaf underwear?

death is creation. the big bang is an act of dying, dividing, transforming. as i see it, it is the basic law of the universe. in order to have a stream of life (a cycle) there must be also death or a re-cycle. whatever happens on a large scale must happen on a small scale since the whole universe is essentially cycles in cycles with basically the same energetics.
but maybe in the future people don't have to die anymore... this could be only possible if we also stop making children... (but who wants to live in a world without children?) or if we start with spacetravel... (but then we would need unlimited energy...)

death is the last stage of human life. simply put the body must degenerate and mix with the elements where it came from.
a spiritual viewpoint, death came in as a result of disobedience by man. God, in the beginning made it perfect but man did what he was not supposed to do. and hence brought death and destruction.
physical death is nothing compared to spiritual death. "fear Him who can kill both the body and soul." the spirit in us lives on and it has the final death in lake of fire. where we end up depends on the right choices here.
i know some might even conclude that i am too lame to believe all this but my belief is so strong that i don't need any more information to take my mind off from the Truth.

People are not left with any choice. All human beings are mortals and destined to die. This is the law.of nature as on date.
Let us hope that our next generation will find a solution to escape from death.

If all that was learned was not summed up by a good death Then there wouldn't be any accounting for the life that was lead by the person that was dead
