I find it much easier to forgive, but I never forget...

But then again, some things aren't meant to be forgiven or forgotten.

Forgiving someone means you cease to resent someone for whatever wrong you feel they've caused you. To think you have forgiven someone but you haven't forgotten what they've done to you really means you haven't really forgiven them. I find it's easier to tell someone you're working on it and see where it goes from there. People who care about you will try harder to gain your trust and respect back and will understand that they have hurt you and that they need to make it up to you. Those who would smite you again will usually just find the effort too daunting and will eventually ditch you. Good riddance though because now you know they'll never hurt you again.

It's not easy, but it's necessary.
I figure that, if I don't forget, I haven't really forgiven.

That said, forgetting is easier when the person who committed whatever crime, actually admits the crime and asks for forgiveness.

I can forgive for my own sake and my own peace of mind.... but if the person does not acknowledge that a wrong was committed, then there is no need for me to forget, as I have reason to believe that person will hurt me again.

When a person admits a wrong and then asks forgiveness, THEN I can forgive AND forget.

I do forgive and forget in order to preserve my psyche and sanity.
All people, including myself, make mistakes, sometimes with dire consequences. It might seem clichéd, but I believe in second chances.

However, if I honestly feel that I can’t forgive, I will forget by closing the door on the event, walk away, and never look back, hard as it may be.

It's so much easier to forgive than to forget. Just b/c you forgive doesn't mean you will ever forget what happened!!

I forgive but not forget. I hate feeling bad about something so I try to resolve it with myself by forgiving.

It's easier for me to forgive. But even then that's hard. At times I can be stubborn and pride-full and I tend to hold grudges. All bad qualities I know. They are all being worked on though.

it somewhat is extra elementary to forgive yet i could desire to by no skill overlook. in case you adore somebody you're continually speedy to forgive and patch issues up between you 2 yet in spite of they did will continually carry on with me. and that i continually flow lower back to it whilst issues are undesirable or perhaps whilst issues are stable. It wont be something i could desire to permit flow. So it could be terrific to no longer do this concern interior the 1st place because of the fact the two way it could be undesirable to handle.
