I'm a really nice person and have so much to offer to a friend .. but i don't seem to have many.
i don't look weird or anything (well not really lol) and i am caring and always help people but i only have like 4 friends and they arn't friends with each other so i cant hang out with all of them.
Are some people just not friend material?

The first thing is "You can't make ppl be your friends" .. that being said "You can be friendly"..
Everyone has different tastes, likes & dislikes.. eventually you will find someone compatible.. how long a friendship lasts depends i guess on whether you grow bored or develop things between you that one of you doesn't like..
When I was young, I had 2 "best" friends lol! but I wasn't the best friend of either of them :( .. the one i liked best dropped out of highschool and drowned in a frozen lake :'( afterwards it was kind of hard to make friends cuz I didn't want THAT to happen again ;(

If these 4 friends of yours are reliable and will always be there for you when you need them to, then you should pat yourself in the back. I am sure that many people are in your same situation, because true friends are hard to come by. The rest are merely 'associates' for networking purposes. It is good to have them but they are not going to be around for you when you need.

I have a lot of friends but there are only about 5 that i call
"true friends" and these are those being real and are sincere.
U have to identify first ur own definition of the word "friend"
so u won't be having a hard time searching for them...

are you young?
no matter how nice you are, if you are shy you have no luck when it comes to making friends.
young ppl simply ignore shy ppl unless you look like brad pitt or jessica alba.
maybe you are a bit too nice or too humble.
a lot of ppl prefer to be friends with someone wild and exciting.

to have many friends ,,,, you should be the one who ask for them ,,, u have 4 friends as you already mentioned ,,, contact them ,, be the one who build the bridge , show intrest in them . find a common thing, be a good listner.... if you successded with those four ... do the same for anyone else you want as a friend ... :)

i know the feeling, i am the same way myself, i'm 22 and have a hard time finding new pepole. i have a few more than4 friends, but i lucked out, becasue most of them i met thoguht my 4 friends, and i formed seprate friendships with them. and i'm always happy to talk to new pepole and make new friends, if you want to talk just message me. i'll talk. or listne.

im the same way, i keep four people close to be thats it so i dont get hurt or used.
