I ended up with more questions than you did on this one. Weater? If it is sweater you meant, what's the question doing in homework help? 10-15 sentences? What's the deal?

My brother is my guardian, and he never forgets anything. I was whining about needing some flip flops and he asked what happened to the ones I got from schuh that I'd got, well, I wasn't going to tell him that I've never actually worn them and that they were a little too big for me, so I said they were for a special occasion, just like the top he let me have and have never worn, its for very RARE special times, it can not be worn just anywhere, I said I'll put the top on when we go to Disneyland, its unlikely I will but the point is, i made the intention that I said i MIGHT wear it, as for a sweater, I would tell your mother that you just like looking at it and don't want it to get bobbly or anything, its for a special occasion.

If this is your English homework, don't you think you would learn more if you were to write 10-15 sentences yourself first, and ask people to point out any errors, if you don't feel confident?

points about youranswer:
****gratitude that mother sacrifices for you
****sweater bought for you means you now have money (if you do) you can use for something else you do like
****common good manners
**** if you love your mother you don't want to hurt he
***refusal or criticism may lead to no more gifts

I'd ask her if she'd object if I were to exchange it for a sweater.
That's after I'd recovered from the shock of getting a birthday present from her 21 years after she died.
