I'm doing a report on the aristocats for french class:) here are some questions~~~

1. Why did Walt Disney choose Paris as the setting of "the Aristocats"?
2. List other disney films that are also set in France....

1. I think it had to deal with when the film was made, the 70's was a time for expatriates and France would have ideal. Take note of all the cool cats that Thomas O'Malley hangs out with, way 70's psychedyllic nostalgia.

I really don't know, but wasn't the NOVEL set in Paris to begin with? I don't know how'd they get all the cute French names for the kittens if it were set in, say, Cardiff or Boston or Sydney. Might be hard to hook in that French guy, Maurice whoever, for singing the theme, too, if it wasn't French.

Disney was a big Anglophile, and had lots of films set in GB -- Robin Hood, frex, and Mary Poppins spring to mind. But other French Disney shows? Nothing is springing to mind. 101 Dalmatians was another British setting.

Find a good Bio of Walt, or try searching "Walt Disney Aristocats Paris" and see what you can find. People here may try to feed you cat puckey, and see if you spit it out on your report.
