Its in the middle of the rib cage, its really sharp and painful, and it feels like there is alot of presssure. Anybody have ideas on what to do?

well it can be a clogged artery or maybe something to do with your lungs(air ways)
if the pain continues to bother you maybe you should see a doctor.

Seeking medical assistance/ check up is the most sensible. If you have taken some knocks or fall with impact to your rib cage region, there's a possibility of rib fractures. If not, it may be some muscle pull. Still, the check up is recommended..

It may be inflatulance, drink a bottle of soda.Or take gelusil tablets to bring out the gas thats trapped inside. Drink some ginger juice or eat anything with ginger in it. If it still continues to hurt and is painful you may be having heart problems. See your doctor. Take deep breaths and hold it and count twenty and then breath out. Do exercises and keep active and eat well balanced meals and lots of water. Take care of your health.

My daughter gets that pain a lot and has never been diagnosed as anything..., but if you have a lung cold or pulled a muscle it may be due to that

could be gas..could be gallstones if its front side

take an antiacid..see if that helps.

if the pain persists or becomes unbearable see a dr

if its in the region of your heart go to hospital now

hmmmm... i have something like this sometimes, my father says its just a muscle that wraps around the heart thats cramping, in my family its a genetic thing. still, seek medical attention, consider it cardio until proven otherwise :P

mmm i had this a while ago... is it on the sternum?
and hurt when u take deep breaths?
because if so...
then you probs have this viral infection, it goes away after about 3 weeks if u stay away from sport and heavy breathing

you could have heart problems (heart burn..weak heart..etc)
or a stomach ulcer

heart problems--i would say go to a doctor
ulcer-make sure ure getting enough potassium.. iron..etc
eat bananas, fruit, pastas..

do you spoke? because people who generally spoke they have the pain or it must be because of junk food which produces gas.
