Stalker??? He isn't listening to you so talking to him won't work. He sounds mentally unstable if he is barking and jumping at you and your dog from afar.

Don't talk to him next time he knocks and don't answer the door. Instead, call the police and tell them that you have a trespasser on your property. (Remember, you've already told him not to ever come onto your property).

If he comes back, then call the police again and get a restraining order.

If he is barking at you while you are walking your dog, try to get a friend to walk your dog with you who can witness this guy's behavior. Call the police and tell them that the man is making threatening gestures toward you and barking at you and that you fear for your safety.

If he continues to jump at you and bark at you after you get a restraining order, he can be put in jail for violating the restraining order because he "made contact" with you.

Call the police the next time he shows up on your property, since you have already told him to stay off. I hope you meant that your dog barks at him from afar, the other way around would really scare me!( If this guy is barking at you)! If your dog is barking, and seems like he wants to attack this guy from a distance, then pay attention to your dog-- there is definitely something about this guy that the dog does not like, maybe he senses something or senses your dislike of the guy. I had a dog as a kid that never acted aggressively toward anyone until a new neighbor moved in-- we had to put the dog in the house to keep him from attacking this guy. Just a couple of months after he moved in he was arrested for rape! Did the dog sense that this guy was evil?

I can't help getting involved in this one, but I must. I've got a great history, in sports entertainment. The other answers are pretty good. I'm kind of different. Women I know would rip his head off, and poop down his neck. I don't think that's the answer. It's better to get the upper hand. I'd leave Fido inside, and knock on his door. I pretend like stuff never happened. I'd ask some help, in a totally different direction. Make up an EASY cooking problem. You're scrambled eggs aren't coming out right. What's this person's motavation?? I know, easy to say, I'm a guy. My biggest pet peeve on this planet, IS GETTING PICKED ON!! I don't deal with it well at ALL!! I like to know, IF I really have an enemy. What really makes this person tick?? I've had personal up close experience with true violence. I've been kidnapped at gun point, taken up in a hotel, and told I was going out the window. Needless to say, I'm still here among us. For me, this is a walk in the park. I wish I was with you, walking your dog. People like that, are all bark, AND NO BITE!!

Get a restraining order so he knows he can go to jail if he continues doing all this. How sad that an "adult" acts like such a child. In the meantime, ignore him and check your yard before letting your dog out to make sure the neighbor hasn't thrown something over that might have poison on it.

Get a Community Legal adviser, and ask what procedures you can take to get a restraining order put on him, which won't cost you money. Hope you have a flatmate. It may be wise to have someone with you. I would also just go to the nearest police station and talk to them, without actually rreporting him.

Forget about making him stop without calling the police. Call the police and report him for trespassing and harrassment.

You have told him not to come on your property. He is trespassing. Charge him. That may let some light in. You can't make it worse than it is. As far as he is harassing you in public you should charge him with being a public nuisance.
