I would if I knew where to contribute. I have not heard of any foundations set up. Homeless is homeless. A disaster effects people with same regardless of the housing cost of their area. Those same homes would not be million $ homes anywhere outside of CA. The suburbs burned down, middle class, hard working families.

I live in Southern California. For me, that answer is NO, I am not contributing anything. Most of the people whose homes were burned down already had money, that's how they were able to afford those Multi-Million dollar homes in the first place.

When I saw the quality of care that they received at Qualcomm, I thought that this was great, but it only occurred because the fire victims were wealthy. This quality of care would not have occurred if the fires had occurred in a less affluent part of town. If the fires had effected a different social economic part of town, we would have seen another Katrina.

I know a guy who lives in Rancho Bernardo (he's lucky actually, his house didn't burn down but his next door neighbor's house did). Anyways, he drives an Infiniti SUV and an Lotus -- do I feel sorry. Uh, No I don't feel sorry for them!

I'm not contributing squat. Most of those folks are extremely well off financially. If they can afford a multi-million dollar home, surely they could also afford insurance coverage to handle such a situation.

If they owned such a house without insurance, it's time for the gene pool to be cleansed.

if you lived in Cali you might understand that "expensive" homes are NORMAL!! Just because housing prices in other states are so much cheaper don't assume that these people are wealthy. Aside from one canyon fire in Malibu where lots of celebs lived most of the fire victims are people who are hard working folks struggling to get by just like the rest of us.
