They better want to know more than they want anything else (including life itself obviously). The problem is, the chances of them coming back to tell us is slim to none.
Also, this experiment has occurred many times: by those who committed it. Didn't they want to leave this world so everything would be "better"?
I still consider suicide self-murder.

Who knows. But I have heard that most of the suicides are in actuality accidents where the individual went to far and couldn't turn back but tried. I have heard that fingernails have been found embedded in side railings on bridges where the person tried to break his death fall by last minute grabbing on but... too late... so don't play around my friend. Life is too valuable and you may not realize how much your people do love you until your halfway down the fall. So you may get the other half of the fall to think about how you messed up... And how many hurt people that will get left behind apart from the denial to mankind of your great personality which may stink but nevertheless here it is with mine and others. And now that you know what it is like to be dead... you still cant go back and will have to start all over again if you survive somehow on another level somewhere. Why go through all that hassle?

I could see some logic in that. However, as was already said, not only would you be unable to let anyone know, but you'd be able to find out when you died naturally anyway. Though I myself would never commit suicide (I'm terrified of death) I am extremely curious about the possibility of an afterlife.

Pretty dumb, since you can live life to the fullest and hav ethe same "experiment" when you die a natural death of old age when you are done. Same result, you know?
Plus it would not meet the standards for a real experiment.

Didn't they have any other choices for your science experiment? For starters, you can only do it once! And the end result is pretty permanent! You will find this out later...much later, I hope.

I'm not quite sure of that. I mean, it could somewhat work when they scrawled down what was happening as they died and were very near to death, but since there is nothing beyond death, it couldn't work.

Yeah right!
Like you're ever going to get it down on record what the experience is.
The experiment is doomed to failure.

Dumb, because you are going to die someday anyways. Why not live first?

In the sciptures god says you are a temple and who ever destroys his temple he shall destroy.

it would be an adventure , but who would you tell of your experience your dead, isn't that what experiments are for, to tell of your findings.
