Hey there Salah,
I tend to like both. As for me, it takes me a "long answer" to get to my point, coz i always have a lot to say.......heheheheh
I am a bit of a chatterbox.

It depends, some questions does not need prolonged answers, a short, to the point answer will do the job, while there are some other questions that need prolonged, informative answers where a short one will not be sufficient, however, in this case the answer should be interesting enough to urge others to read it and further enjoy reading it.

Agree Salah. However, some of our visitors from University and school students need more prolonged answers for their projects about Egypt.
But generally, I like the "to the point" ones.

Good Morning,Salah :)
As for me,I prefere short to the point answers,as i too "sometimes" lose track of the prolonged answers.......
BUT
it depends on the question itself......as some questions really need informative, prolonged answers .......... and sometimes these answers are really interesting.
Actually,I benefit from some members here whose answers are usually prolonged, such as; MSafwat,Zoser,Wise Heart,AA,Sahar....and others...... most of there prolonged answers are really interesting to me

It really depends upon the question, and how much I need to know.
Some questions only require an opinion, or a fact--they don't necessarily need to be long, but in some cases do--in order to fully answer the question.
Sometimes, I prefer an answer than has humor injected into it...of course, not if it is a terribly serious question...

I prefer the short answers that just get to the point. Sometimes I will read long answers if I find them interesting.

I prefer short answers. If there is a web link for details, it's always better than posting all the information in an answer. Specially if some one copy and past to let others feel it's their words.

Short. Like this!
But some questions require elaborate and detailed answer so I guess it depends on the question asked. If it requires facts then obviously, we need all pertinent information. I hope you did not find my answer long? :-)

I like a sensible answer that the person knows what they are on about. whether it is long or short as long as it's interesting I don't mind . And a little added info can be very beneficial.
