Greedy developers and stupid buyers who are now complaining that the guys in the aircraft didn't violate the safety rules and get in the air with short crews and unfitted planes.

AND some of the idiots have started to rebuild in the same spots already.

Terminal stupidity.

So should everyone who lives near the water move in fear of hurricanes or tsunamis?

What about tornado alley,leave?

Well, I would take my chances in any of those areas over living in a city with a high crime rate. Your odds of getting hurt or killed are much greater.

Mother nature happens, everywhere. I wouldn't build my house under an active volcano, but hey if it only goes off every 500 years maybe I would.

It is a terrible thing to lose anything, even worse if it's everything. My heart goes out to those Californians.

All areas where there is wilderness there is a chance of fire. All places where there are PLACES there is a chance of fire. California has some drought problems from time to time. We still have to live somewhere. Pardon me if I take a bit of offense, but my brother's beautiful home was taken by this fire. I don't think it is a matter to make fun of...or take lightly...how do you know your home won't be hit by some disaster? Can you predict when the next disaster will take place and then ask...gee...why did they build a house where a tornado was going to hit? Hind site is 20/20....but mother nature does not differentiate from one area to the next.."she" goes where she wants to go.

This is America, build where you want to. Build where there could be earthquakes, floods and fires. If we have to, we can rebuild. Having insurance doesn't hurt either.
