They make the burgers with vegetable patties. There is no beef or pork used at all, but they do have chicken and fish. They have separate areas for cooking of vegetarian meals to non-vegetarian meals, so vegetarians can be assured their meal will not be contaminated with meat.

Finding culturally acceptable ingredients was necessary to get government approval to open McDonalds stores in India.

8-track, I know this was meant to be a joke BUT Kr_afol actually went out and did her homeowrk and answered in it in ALL seriousness. She.he? Did a good job at it. I think that person DESERVES the 10 points for bothering to find out just exactly WHAT McD's sells in INdia and I learned something. *high 5's* to Kr_afol.

I wouldn't stress over it too much. It's probably the same horsemeat they sell in the U.S.
