One of my cats wakes me up by purring loudly in my ear and scratching my head (it hurts!)

It is her way of saying that she has run out of cat biscuits and that I better get my lazy backside up to get her some more.

OR: she is saying that she's just FORGOTTEN where the cat biscuits are... so I have to get up.. and walk to the kitchen with her.

That could happen at any time of the night.

I have a Finnish Spitz, which is a breed trained to bark, so everytime there's a squirrel or noise in the yard, my dog wakes me, and my neighbors up with an annoying bark.

Well, my bird wakes up when the sun is in the sky. But, my mom usually brings K.T. upstairs to my room and K.T. walks into my room and tweets and squawk for me to get up. I get up and then I play with her by having her fly around the house as I chase her.

My dog rarely wakes up before I do. I always wake her up with a kiss on top of her head. On the rare occasions when she gets up first... she usually gives me soft growls. Almost as if she's whispering "Hey... wake up."

Our dogs sleep in the laundry where the doggy door is, so we just let them out into the rest of the house when we get up. They are very patient, and quite happy in there.
