This is a good question because both are such legendary MC's. Biggie, on one hand, put out two classic albums that have a plethora of classic and hit songs. Biggie is a hip hop icon who is a house hold name. Big L isn't as well known, and he hasn't put out two classic albums, really only one. But Big L is NASTY with punchlines and flow and everything about his lyrics. In the answer to your question, Big L is technically the better MC.

Biggie wins, he probably has the best flow of all times, Big L easily has the best punchlines of all time. But Biggie put out better music, and overall more skill.

Well, I would have to say Biggie. Big L didn't do too much rapping, and Biggie is one of the best MC's to bless the mike. Sometimes Big L didn't even rap on his songs!

It's like apples n' oranges, Both were great in their own ways, it just depends on my mood. If I want some raw swagger laced **** to bump that'll have me bringing back track like "he said whaaa?!", I'ma rock L. If I want some mellow, deep story telling **** or club knocks to slap, I'ma rock wit Big. Both were great.
