If you had your choice of any instrument you could play which instrument would it be and why.

I play the Steel Guitar but am not patient enough to be an instructor. I also play a couple of others but my instrument of choice is the Steel because it keeps both my hands and feet busy therefore I can't get into as much trouble.

well i already play keyboards and my baby taylor..but i'd rob a bank and share it with ya if i could learn how to play the GREAT STEEL GUITAR!!!!!

The local country bands I see today on stage
don`t have a Steel Guitar player , If you want to the classics you need it , I heard a band do "Blue Bayou" it sounded like caca without a steel guitar, That`s why I would like to play one

Now I know the meaning of agony! only one? too cruel a question! fortunately, i don't know how to play any of them so it's not quite as agonizing a choice as for musicians
I'd have to pick the fiddle. to be honest with you, most of the other instruments seem to be accompaniment, not meant to stand alone, i could sit and listen to fiddle instrumentals all day, it seems to have the lyrics right in the music.
I apologize to all other instruments and players.
Fiddles don't cause cricks in the neck do they? I might have to reconsider.

I'm trying to learn mandolin now, so I'll say mandolin. Every time I see the Del McCoury band live Ronnie Mc Coury makes my jaw drop. Sam Bush, Jesse McReynolds & Bill Monroe are also heroes.

I would LOVE to learn to play the piano! Maybe I will take lessons someday if I ever get a piano!! Then I would want to learn how to play the organ too. I think they make beautiful music!

I play drums and rhythm guitar (Acoustic and electric). Have recorded in Sun studios Memphis, Seasaint Studio New Orleans, and a few others in between.
