i didnt think that it was a correct presentation of how racist people are in the world. they made i seem like everyone is racist ALL THE TIME, i mean, some of the people said somethings that i know i would never have said to anyone or not even think about saying. especially the part at the end where the black girl says "speak american" which doesnt even make sence!..in 2 ways! jeez. ok, i understand that some of that movie was true about the black steiotyping but not every single thing like the movie happens like that. and also it didnt make sence when ludacris is all complaining about how he white girl got scared of him and his friend because of steriotyping when THEY ENDED UP STEALING THEIR CAR!!! does he really think he is going to be treated fairly when he's doing bull like that? if he was a decent god fearing christian than i would get the point, but the whole scene was just a waste of time because you find out they are stealing bastards anyways!! to be continued.

it just seams that they over did the movie by like 50%. and it seemed like when someone was racist to someone else, they became racist to someone else, and so on and so forth. ok, if someone was racist to me i would NOT let out my anger by becoming a racist to another person! people dont act like that [i hope]!! i was not very happy with the actual drama of it all. but i did like how everyone's life connected to someone elses. and the scene where the cop molested the woman and when the other cop killed the black guy were very powerful. not including when his brother and mom found out their son/brother died, and the mother blamed it on the brother because he never had time to go look for him. that got me angry becuase its not like the brother is his baby sitter! for gods sake he's a grown man! maybe he decided not to come back to visit her for a reason! and does she reallly think blamng her other son is going to help the situation? this movie could have been a lot better.. too bad...

yes i also believe that racism never stopped but its way more subtle than it was in this movie. i mean they might have well put in a white girl saying to a black girl 'ew ur black'. its was too....rough which didnt make it believable

There are lots of coincidences and ironies in the movie. If you look for an actual 'meaning' then you'll end up rambling (like you did). That's part of what makes it so good. The movie was a lot like life; we can run ourselves around in circles looking for hidden meanings in day-to-day events. In all actuality, it's just a bunch of stuff that happens...

As far as the racism thing goes... Not all racism is that way, and not all people are racist. But some people are even more hateful than the characters in the movie, and two hours is not enough time to get into all of that.

I noticed that, too. Someone would complain about stereotypes and racism, and then victimize someone else later on. to be quite truthful, I think that's why they called it "Crash."

I watched the movie and I thought is was pretty cool.

People are not that open about their racist feelings. The movie was good though. It depicted what really happens out there. In the end, it turns out that everybody did some sort of bad thing that has to do with race. I like the movie because it's very revealing and doesn't hide the rot of racism and hatred. I thought It had to do more with stereotypes and xenophobia than pure KKK sort of white supremacist racism.
But overall, It was good. And it shows that everyone is a victim.

I do think there are people like that out there. They are just afraid to come open because they will labeled "ignorant". And it's not just in America, this tension among ethnic groups exists almost everywhere. Look at Africa for example. The Darfur crisis, the Rwandan Genocide...

I liked the part where Sandra Bullock hugs the maid (at the end). It kinda shows how similar we all are.

If you liked Crash, I'm sure you'll enjoy American History X.

Movies are made to evoke conversation. They are not meant to be literal translations of their topics.
This movie was only in theatres for a short time. Why?
People in general like to be with people who think like them, talk like them, and look like them. Is that racist??
No, racist is prejudging people by something they cannot help; like their skin color. Is Amerca racist? You bet.
I feel that Reconstruction from the Civil War is still going on - it never ended.
