why did A.D.A Craver (Courtney D. Vance) leave the cast because with out this it seems like Law and - Criminal Intent

Haha they really should think of getting a new ADA. But I think Vance left to be with his wife (Angela Bassett) and his 2 kids more. I say that because he hasnt done much since he left, which leads me to believe it was on good terms. He could come back I guess since they didnt write him off but if he doesnt they need to atleast get some chuckle-head to pretend to be the ADA so there can be some Order in the show

I don't know. Maybe they had to make budget cuts, because they haven't replaced him. Like Jamey Sheridan(Captain Deakins), he never came back for season 6. Except that Sheridan's character was written off at the end of season 5, while Vance's wasn't.

All of the different Law and Order cast & crew take breaks, they are put on a chart, so that not all of the main characters wont leave at the same time.

courtney vance is married to actress angela bassett and she decided to move to los angeles to have her twins and she wanted him to move there as well so he quit law and order criminal intent . good luck .
