Oh that just takes the cake!
Where did you get this information? I can't find it anywhere on the net.
EDIT: I found it.Turns out she is suing Universal Studios!

January 6 -- Haunted house too scary. "A woman suing Universal Studios contends the theme park operator's annual Halloween Horror Nights haunted house attraction was too scary and caused her emotional distress." Cleanthi Brooks, 57, says that when she and her granddaughter were visiting the Florida park in 1998, an employee wielding a (chainless) chainsaw chased them toward an exit, with the result that they slipped on a wet spot and suffered unspecified physical injuries. (Tim Barker, "Universal fall leads to lawsuit", Orlando Sentinel, Jan. 5; "Woman sues haunted house over injuries, emotional distress", AP/FindLaw, Jan. 5)

I still cannot believe so many frivolous lawsuits make it through the court systems. No wonder the cost of insurance is so high in the US.
Think of the guy who sued MickeyD's because of the hot coffee or the attorney who is suing God.
It's more like extortion.

That has got to be the dumbest case I have ever heard of. What did she expect at a haunted house, a soap opera?. If I was the judge, not only would I throw the case and fine her, but I would smack her on the head with my gavel. In the words of that famous wise man, Dr. Evil: "This is ri-goddamn-diculous!".

this is what is called a "nuisance suit". It seems the all American way to make money--SUE SOMEONE for SOMETHING--especially a business, because they MUST retain a lawyer to represent them in court. Sometimes, businesses pay off because the cost of paying off is less than the cost of the lawyer and the hassle. If I were the judge, I would not only DISMISS the suit, but I would fine the complainant and make her pay court costs for wasting the court's time.

It seems that there are the wussies that sue and the wussies scared of getting sued!

Another ridiculous lawsuit. Why am I even surprised? I hope they make her pay the defendant's legal costs when she loses. Greed and stupidity are not a good combination.
