Soap opera fans?

Question

What are the five things you hate about soap operas(I'm a fan but this stuff bugs me)
1. they are pregnant for two months or for 24 months( but still seem to have a normal baby
2 one minute they are little kids, then they go to "boarding school(whatever) and come back as teenagers.
3. You like a character but then the actor who played them leaves, they get another actor to play him but now you hate the character(bridget from B/B)
4. There are never any middle class people. Everyone is either uber rich or uber poor.
5.Actors who have are on the shows to long. Still good actors but please stop trying to be sexy.(victor on Y/R)
So if theres any that bug you please, do tell.

Wow, I hope I can remember all the things I want say. I got a lot of pet peeves but I love the shows.

1. No one seems to have morning breath.... EVER

2. The hospitals...you can switch babies, look in records, change things in the computers.

3. Prisons.... wow daily visits, conjugal visits (GL), in coming phone calls(Y&R) the ability to get in and out at will basically now a special work release program.

4. Kids.... they are never throwing fits about being in their rooms/or at school constantly or with sitters who come at a minutes notice, they also never have to bath, feed, take them to soccer.. (the exception is Noah on Y&R but the never seen Sam's folks seem to be raising him) the soras (soap opera rapid ageing syndrome) Plus everyone seems to have them and not know who the father is. Grown children just pop up.

5. People never seem to learn about closing doors when they do/say something that should be private. Like pressing the intercom button on the phone systems.

6. People never seem to get caught. They can secretly get into security systems, poison cream, change Wills

7. People never watch TV or go to movies and they leave work whenever they want and for however long they want.

8. People forget their past when judging others (Sharon/Nikki/Victor/Paul etc...)

9. They are computer wizards/Hackers or they never have to go to college/school to learn anything they all know everything about things like Art (new or ancient) Foreign countries books business medical procedures etc... They get high powered jobs with nothing more than a GED (hello Gloria Dru also hey Kevin I thought you were an accountant??? and why is your mommy in your job interview/bargining session???)

10 Does anyone ever clean their house, walk the dog, clean the litter box, do dishes, go to the bathroom, (they sure shower alot) Don't they watch anything on TV beside the news. How about wearing sweats and watching the ball game (OK JT does watch ball) but business suits and office dress all the time. Everyday all day like your at home cant you take off your suit or dress and wear some jeans and a T'shirt??

#1. My biggest hate is how long they last Spanish ones last a few months maybe a year but come one who's going to watch the same soap for 20 yrs what the F**K.

#2. I hate how they don't figure time example like someone left a place when so & so are taking and the person who left gets there immediately like she/he was just next door.

#3. Character changes some have {like Kay on Passions} 5 different actresses play the same role.

#4. When they reuse storylines with other characters.

#5. when they spend 5 yrs building up a secret and it turns out to be the stupidest thing ever .

Mine have to do with Days of our lives (it's the only one I watch since Passions was taken away by direct tv :( )

1- There is always one bad person who does so much crime, but they never end up in prison.

2-Everyone Knows Everyone

3-When someone dies, they almost always come back to life

4-Come on....not EVERYONE in Salem can be good looking...where are all the ugly/fat people?

5- when they take a character off the show, then use the actor/actress to play a different character. Is it just me, or is Kayla the same person who played mimi's mom Bonnie??

The 3 year old kid becomes 18 years old the next year. The changing of the actors, it is kind of crap when you have to start all over with a new person and they are way different. General Hospital , How can they have a crime lord who owns casinos and stuff all over but he spends all his time in one place. And he can walk around with no bodyguard , go anywhere in the town and he's treated like a ordinary business man. And no one has a baby with their husband, it's always another guys kid Don't get me started.

1. Story lines that drag out for for a year or more when it should only take a few weeks or couple of months to resolve (Passions and Y & R).
2. When people from the same families all sleep with each other (B & B).
3. The unusual and far fetched stories from Passions.
4. Rapidly aged children.
5. Alltered or fixed paternity tests

People are always in the cafe/diner/pub!
People go down the road or even next door to the cafe/diner/pub for breakfast/lunch/coffee. Why not just make it at home?
People go into cafe/diner/pub and order food or drink and then leave, barely touching it.
People always pay with the exact money in the cafe/diner/pub.
Everyone always seem to have jobs in their immediate neighbourhood. But then they rarely go to them (unless its at a cafe/diner/pub).
Nearly every marriage storyline has a 'Will-they-won't-they' scenario.
Then when they finally do get married one or other (or both) have an affair (usually with a neighbour/friend) and you wonder why you ever cared whether they would or wouldn't get together in the first place.
Nearly every time someone gets pregnant there is the 'do they or don't they' want the baby storyline.
They always marry or have relationships with people living in the same street. How many people in real life really get together with their neighbours. And several of them too.
Children and pets are always being neglected as parents/pet owners tend to come and go as they please (to the cafe/diner/pub) and never seem to be at home to feed them or look after them.

1: One day on a soap opera lasts for like 2 weeks
2. They are pregnant for only a short time.
3. They come up with the dumbest plots involving secret kids and things like that. Kills me
4: Unbelieveable things like witches and things
5: One month there is someone that has a baby then 3 months later that kid is 5 years old

ok. I have to say number 3 and 4. I didn't like the new Ashley (years ago) and was glad when the old one came back, I didn't like this new Jack, but seems like he plays the part better.

Also, when they do have someone on there who isn't rich, they get a goofy or criminal guy story line like the lab janitor on B/B and the guy who was obsessed with Pheobe

1) your fav couple never stays together, something always happens ...(gh-liz/jason)
2)you wait and wait wanting them to spill the beans on who the real father is to everyone, because the father know , the mom knows and some extra people do but the one that thinks he is the father doesnt know!(gh-jason/liz)
3.)a great freakin soap moves to direct tv.(passions)
4.) why cant people just understand that there relationship is over , why they got to keep seeking revenge over and over again?(passions-teresa/ethan/gwen)(gh-jason/sam/liz/lucky)
5.)this aint really that bad....but they make mobsters look so damn good and irrestiable no wonder the good girls always fall for them!
5.)the teenagers might as well as raised there self because half the time you cant get up wit the mom or dad ... they go and do anything they want, thats on all soaps!

I hate:
1. Hospitals are never secure places. Anyone can switch records, tests, babies, faces....You want to snoop in someones private records, no problem!
2. A character can die and be conveniently brought back to life anytime. I think some of those people have died like 15 times now.
3. Haven't these people ever heard of birth control??
