Its about the industry telling him to dumb down his lyrics, simplify his thoughts, creativity, innovation & culture to sell more records and why he refuses not to!.

"They told me I should come down cousin, but I flatly refuse I ain't dumb down nothing..."

i do no longer think of he ought to dumb it down, It does make experience in the top. Hip hop is like great literature, human beings draw countless issues from it, issues that the artist will possibly no longer have meant. Plus the strategies a similar, its common recommendations provided in a complicated way. those rappers are not college professors, or great philosophers, they are those with a particularly average preparation, you in basic terms might desire to recollect that once you're listening to their songs.

"I'm not a listener or a "seer"(as in someone who sees)/
so my windshield's smeared."

Means that he doesn't need a windshield. If you're driving, you should be able to hear and see.

"Somethin' really stinks/
but I Sphinx like Leon, or lion in the desert"

Y' know, The sphinx. In Egypt. Not sure why it stinks.

"Smell it, yeah, on my unicorn/
don't snort the white horse, but toot my own horn"

Refers to the line he said about "Pegasus" a couple bars earlier in the song. Y'know, the white horse with the horn.

And I'm brainless, which means I'm headless/
Like Ichabod Crane is.

Ichabod Crane was the headless horseman.

"I pull the plug and I make it drain/
Until I feel like flowing and feeling it up again"

Flowing, i'm sure you know, is rhyming. This is my favorite line.

Well the song is talking about how he's not going 2 dumb it down 2 today's majority of hip-hop how they act. U can tell by the chorus

They tellin' me they don't feel u..??
Robots & Skateboard N**ga?

As far as his lyrics in his verses he sounds stupid but sick. Lyrics is flawless although I don't know what he's saying by...

"I'm not a chicken nor deer; So my winshield Smeer;

Which means I'm healess; With no head left 2 hang a chain with; Which makes my necklace less neck like I'm neck less;

lol. WTF?!?!? I know what the song is about but his verses it sounds like he's just talking hit.

It's even hard to explain, you could write an essay about what he says. lol If you look at the lyrics, I'm sure you can figure it out.
