I bought a pair of 100% cotton pants that I would like hemmed. Should I wash them before I take them to the tailor? My guess is no.

Well maybe if you think they will shrink. That would suck, get them tailored and then they shrink.

Yes, you need to wash them first. Because clothes shrink, especially cotton. Make sure you don't dry it too much. Dry them for about 15 minutes and then hang them dry. Wash them first and then have them tailored.

YES! They will probably shrink a bit since they are 100% cotton.
If you get them tailored, and THEN they shrink, your pants will be ruined.

YES YES YES! if you get them tailored to fit you perfectly then you wash them, they could shrink and be too small.
wash them, and they might just end up fitting a lot better.
if not, still take them to the tailors. but DEFINATLY WASH THEM FIRST!

yeah, because if they are going to shrink then you will know how they will be. always wash first.
