They won't be as bad as last year but I can't see them being serious contenders. They are going through a little bit of a rebuilding period now and it might be a few years before they are back up and running.

Kenny Williams screwed up the bullpen this year. The pen lost alot of games when they had the lead. He brought in a bunch of arms that throw in the upper 90's, but weren't accurate. Plus the offense couldn't hit. But they still had a winning record against their division.
They still have holes at 2nd and CF, and the rest of the guys are getting older. THEY LOST THERE DRIVE AFTER WINNING IT IN 05. I doubt if they could come back next year. They will probably be around .500.

If they unload any of their pitchers, I can't see how they'll compete. I mean, they're just an old and underachieving team. Ozzie Guillen may be a decent manager, but he's got a real challenge on his hands right now. There aren't many managers capable of rebuilding a team AND taking them all the way. We'll see.

Mabye but their bats need to heat up fast next year or they need to go young like the d-backs or rockies. A couple years in the cellar isn't so bad when you look back after winning a couple straight World Series.

no.. they have no pitching, starting, or otherwise. they have a closer, and one starter.. the whitesox will not be back for a while, they will be cellar dwellers for some time... they even have the worst broadcaster since tim mcblather in the hawk...
they will truly be the white sux in 08...

Hopefully, I hope they finish behind KC, but not likely. Maybe 3rd ahead of the Tigers! LOL
