I didn't find that behavior as peculiar as what he said to me after he had heated the kettle and gotten a cup of tea. He looked at me with the greatest degree of sadness a cat can muster, he said "Shoobie?" I said "Yes." He said " You know that package I asked for you to hold for me last week? Do you still have that package?" I said "Yes.""Oh" he said. And he broke down sobbing! He was inconsolable, and so ashamed that he had broken down in front of me, that he left and I haven't seen him since........
