if my mom killed someone , if better be in self defense, my mother raised me right , if i commited a crime she would turn me in , because it would be the right thing to do , so i would have to turn my mother in because thats how she raised me, and thats how im raising my son , if my son commited a crime i would turn him in also, im not saying it would be easy to turn either of them in , but i would have to.

I hope you love your mother -apparently she couldn't do anything to change your feelings. Well, I will tell you it irritates me so much to hear someone talk bad about their mom and say they hate her and even call her names. My mother has been dead for 22 years now and I was only 14 when she died. I had a wonderful relationship with my mom- she was my best friend. Your question floored me for a second but I have to tell you I would have done anything for her and that would include hiding her out, not reporting a crime if she is the one who committed it- anything. She was the most beautiful person to me and I will always have a very special love for her whether she is dead or alive. It's good to see that their are still children who aren't ashamed to tell their true feelings for their parents.

The situation is really very hard to answer because it is choice between protecting someone you love and reporting a criminal to authorities. Ifthis will happen to me, I would say that first of all I will always protect my Mother, but if the offense commited by her is so grave that she could not escape prosecution, there is no other choice but to turn her in to authorities. I will do everything to look for possible means, money or property to bail out her from prison.
I would believe that a mother who have committed a crime, was not really her intention of doing it, maybe she did just protect herself for further harm. As a mother, she has that inner feeling of love to her family and she will do everything for them, even if she has to commit some grave crime.
I have only one mother that is given by God to me, and I will not permit anyone to take her from me. I will do everything to protect her from any harm. Even how bad she is to others, since she gave me this life I have, I will always keep her safe.
I hope it could give you some picture of what we should do if in case this kind of situation happens to us.

WOW that is such a hard question. I am a good christian and that is such a hard situation. I would try to get her to do it first. My mom is my best friend in the world. I know she would never do it but if she did I would try to get her to turn herself in if she didn't than it depended on what it was. If it was murder I would have too but if it was stealing probably not. No one can really answer this question until they are in that situation.

I love my mother dearly but is she is killing people or robbing banks then I would assume that something is wrong with her mentally and turn her in so she can get some help and not keep doing these things. Sometimes we have to not only love our parents but we have to protect them from themselves as well

I would totally hide her out. I can't imagine her doing such a thing since she's my hero....but I would cast aside my personal beliefs and protect the woman who has taught me the most about love.
Great question!

I love my mother dearly and im extremely close to her, but if she broke the law, id have no problem turning her in, why? because i do love her so much, and she obviously would have some kind of problem and would need help. Just because i love her, just because she's my mom, doesnt give her the right to break the law.

I would turn her in. It doesn't matter what she did in the past, if she's lost it, which knowing my mother she would have to do those things, I'd have to turn her in. I don't think that hiding her out would be protecting her in the least bit. She would be a danger to herself and others.

I love my mom dearly, but she would have to face the consequences of her actions. I believe in doing the honest thing. And I would do it out of love for her so she could get help.

I would probably turn her in. If she committed those crimes I would not have a good relationship with her because she would have the same morals she does now, and would not be the same person she is now.
