Of course it is magic as your husband said...it is just that science is ignorant of magic and happens to call it silvering...but if it would not have been for magic, then who would have thought of it in the first place

Actually most good mirrors are made with silver.

Silvering of glass makes mirrors.. [not exactly de silver metal!]

Sorry, it's aluminum these days - just a thin coating. With back surface mirrors (most), there is a protective plastic coating, too.
