maybe 30 or 40 bucks

probably not as much as you think- or hope!. I took a ton of what I thought were great records to a used record store- and I mean Beatles, Stones, lots of great old artists- and they offered me next to nothing for all of them and wouldn't even take some! Unless the record itself is in perfect condition and the cover is also perfect- no fading, tears, etc, you won't be offered much- sorry!
