I heard this from someone and wanted to know if it was a wives tale or not.

Not an old wives tale, since neither have been around that long. But a stupid urban myth. Was this person who told you this a reliable source? Apparently not. Neither of these products is any different than coke or pepsi other than the flavors, and neither do anything. Maybe if you ejaculate into mountain dew it will kill the semen, but other than that, no effect.

I'm not sure about 7 up but I have heard the same of Mountain Dew and any Orange Soda..

It's a myth. Go to http://www.snopes.com and search on "mountain dew" (without the quotes). There is no truth whatsoever to this rumor. But all soft drinks (even diet) are nutritional disasters.

I've heard that Mountain Dew lowers your sperm count... but I've never heard of anything like that when it comes to 7-Up

No, no those don't do anything. But Game Fuel Mountain Dew (Halo drink) makes your penis really small. It shrunk mine like 2 inches.

I do know that if you give junior high boys enough Mountain Dew they can stay awake for days - sort of like an adult on high quality crack.
