Is this a serious question?

With your hockey knowledge, I was sure you would know something like thiis :)

Exactly, just as a turtle draws his head , a fighter getting pounded on, will duck and cover his head, especially when he falls to the ice in a crawling position.

LITY - Its the difference between fan knowledge and player knowledge, there are lots of guys on here who know a ton about the team they follow or a ton of NHL statistics, it doesn't necessarily transfer to player terminology.

If anyone really wants to learn a giant chunk of player terminology, just search engine "Junior Hockey Bible", it used to be a website, but got banned in Canada for some reason(haha), so I dont know if it is still available.
It is a dictionary of player speak that has been adapted by many skaters for a few years now. Even if I looked for it, I wouldn't link it here, that would be enough to get me thrown off here for good. lol

A player goads another into a fight and then when the other guys starts beating on him, he just covers up, goes into a shell, or "turtles" so the other guy gets a bigger penalty. Sometimes real tough guys do it and make fools out of the other player.

Well, I guess you know what it means now. Think Lecavalier in one of his fights against Chara. Though it was certainly a good idea for him to go into the fetal position. Lol.
