I'm just curious about this, throughout many friends I've had the two that were workout fiends, mostly muscular, get angry much easier than anyone else. It's being angry about random things, like one time one of them accidentally pulled out a drawer too far and it fell and he screamed about it (he was by himself) for a full 5 minutes. He also gets extremely angry when sports; I mean, I can get passionate about games, too, but he screams at the tv out of anger and is mad even hours later. I can understand depression perhaps, but I've rarely seen anger. Anyway, I remember hearing that people who take steroids get angry easily, but I sincerely doubt that is the case. Does having more muscle lead to more testosterone and perhaps more anger? Wonder if anyone knows, thanks!

You would have to do a study on a much broader amount of people than just your two friends.

I have a few friends who are very muscular, and I haven't seen any of them get angry.

I think it just depends on who it is, and what they do.
If they listen to really hard metal, or watch very violent movies, that could contribute.
If their boss and or wife is always nagging, that could contribute.
You get the idea...

Do they take steroids? That can affect someone flying off the handle for no reason. Another thing to look for would be high blood pressure or chemical imbalances. High BP and CI have caused anger problems in a couple people I know from work. Its easy to take care of they just have to see a doctor about it.

His behavior sounds like the beginnings of steroids, child. I dated a Greek god of a man that I hated when he was on steroids. He was so so pretty, but didn't see himself that way as a result of the competition at the gym I guess. My god he was handsome...but he punched out a windshield on another car that had cut him off on the on ramp...not good. Very scary.
Maybe he's feeling insecure...maybe it's steroids. That would account for severe mood swings like that . Sorry

I would guess they do. Some might use steroids which has side effects like emotional issues. Others may have been picked on for being big and don't want people messing with them. I see your point and believe that bigger guys get angrier easily.

No there are all kinds of people that work out. most have a good disposition.
However steroid use, quite prevelent in bodybuilding and sports often brings this ill behavior out of people. Then your friend could just be a jerk.

I think it depends on the person, but i´d say Yes. Some might call it a testosterone overflow which bulks the muscles and the aggression.

Nah. Muscle does not lead to excessive anger...being an @$$hole does.

I have been lifting for years and seldom get angry about anything stupid. I 'burn' my aggression at the gym. Tell your 'friends' to change up their routines and work to failure. That should take care of their 'issues'

Good Luck!

Taking steroids can make someone act that way and build the muscles.

Hell no. I use steroids and didn't experience any extra anger. In fact, i didn't see side effects at all.

Just bust your *** in the gym, rest en and properly and steroids do wonders.
