Best singer-- Conway Twitty--"Touch the Hand", "Hello Darling"--it seems to me he is talking much more than singing in these songs--which is just right for begging and pleading

Dolly Parton--Runner Up---she's not pleading for her man to come back---but she is pleading for "Jolene" to leave him alone

I must reveal a gap in my country education and confess I know nothing of Jim Reeves.

George and Tammy--none of the songs I can recall ever beg and plead for a second chance---however, there is a lot of regret there

you forgot whimpering Bill Anderson. gag!

Edit: actually Jim Reeves and George Jones were very good singers. Conway was a super gag, never cared much for Dolly (although I always liked "I Will Always Love You") and I never paid much attention to Tammy.

I gotta give this one to Jim Reeves cause he said it "He'll Have To Go" no if's and's or but's about it. What about Marty Robbins "Begging To You" now if that ain't begging grits ain't groceries.
