No. I don't believe a loving god would inflict eternal suffering on anyone. If god isn't loving, then why would I believe in doctrines written by many men, constantly changing & contradicting throughout history? These "prophets" are not the words of "God."
My personal belief is that the "patriarchal" god of reward & punishment was created by men, for many reasons, over time.
This is my PERSONAL opionion, & I respect all religions whether I can "believe" in them or not. I do not "believe" in heaven or hell. Fancifully, I'd like to believe in reincarnation, because I love life. The most important thing to ME, is to have my own moral compass, not to "behave" in ways guided by fear or desire of after life.
I in no way mean to offend anyone. I have friends who are Buddhist, Muslim, Christian & those who have no religion at all. This doesn't interfere with our friendship.
I do NOT "believe" in hell.

Yes I do.

We as humans can contemplate hell where a series of life circumstances are most distressing and seemingly never endless, and there is no one to help us. That is either by choice or by circumstance that it happens without us deciding on separation or not. So in this instance we may temporarily experience on hell on earth.

But God spoke of another eternal hell. A place apart from God's love. He would not allow his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to dwell in hell. Why? Because where hell is, there is no love.

Hell is a place we make

Yes, I do....it is a place for all eternity....never ending, age upon age where all the souls that do not accept Jesus Christ as their savior will be, with the knowledge they could have chose to follow Christ and turned there back to him. The absence of God's presence and that knowledge will be hell forever....and that's a long, long time.

If you are talking about the lake of eternal fire that the Judgemental God tosses anyone who isn't of the correct religious persuasion into, NO.

That is just religious fantasy.

If you are talking about the negativity we can create for ourselves if we persist in making unloving negative choices, then the answer is yes emphatically.

Each of us creates all of the hell that we will ever experience.

As for the biblical hell, it can only be true if God were an idiot. Somehow I doubt that She is.

I don't live there, it is a place of unlove.
Very un-love-ly, right here on earth.
Heaven and hell and the way you live your life, in every moment.
