Yes Wolfie :) I hate that people are just to lazy to spell out the whole word.

No and I don't understand at all why people get their knickers in a twist over it. Why not do research on it instead of jumping to conclusions? X is Greek for Christos which is where the name Christ came from in the first place. So technically they are the same thing. No need whatsoever to have a hissy fit.

Sometimes cause it just doesn't sound right saying "Merry Xmas!". It sounds better saying "Merry Christmas!". Also I don't like when people say "Happy Christmas!" cause that doesn't sound right either. But, I wouldn't hate a person if they said them either, cause if they like to say it like that, I don't have anything against them.

Well for people who think it is taking the Christ out of Christmas, that's not true.

Personally, it doesn't bother me what anyone calls it. Just as long as everyone enjoys themselves and has a safe holiday.

I used to, but then I found out that "X" is the Greek letter which is "chi" in English, so in Greek it's the first letter in the word "Christos" or "Christ".

I don't like it when people use it .I mean I understand wanting to be able to have an abbreviation and all but it is true that it takes the Christ out of Christmas when it is spelled that way . For me it just doesn't seem right.

I do not like that term, or what americans call "the holidays" sorry- but holidays to me mean getting away from the normal 9-5 and having a break from it all - the exact opposite of what Christmas means - being together with family, celebrating our Saviour's birth.
So you'll never hear me say "Happy Holidays" at Christmas time....

No. That's how they will say it in the year 3000, according to Futurama.

Well, if I see Xmas I don't say X-mas I say Christmas. But it can get annoying!
