This is pretty simple. The question is "Are the Red Sox better than the Yankees?" 'Are' is present tense, as in right NOW. Let's see. They had a better record in the regular season, advanced further in the playoffs, beat the team which beat the Yankees in the playoffs and, as of this moment, have won two games in the 2007 World Series. And the Yankees are sitting at home while the Red Sox' season continues. If all of this is not a clear indication that the Sox are better then I guess those who insist the Yankees are better will never accept reality.

Well let's not talk about the storied history of these two teams cause theres no comparison. This year the Bosox are the better team. They made mincemeat of the AL to win their 1st Division Championship in 12 years. That's a great accomplishment. Kudos to the Red Sox but the Yankees, on paper, had the better team. Here's the thing. I'm from Boston, so obviously I'm a fan of the Red Sox. But are they BETTER than the Yankees? I believe they both have their qualities and their faults. Each team is highly respected around the country. I also believe that just because one team made it to the Series and the other didn't, that doesn't make one team better than the other. Sportsmanship, integrity and morals make BOTH teams equal. Yankees have more pennants, Sox show that thy can make fun of themselves even in the clutch. I think these are the two of the best teams I've seen in a long time.

Who cares, it's in the past! Right now, the Red Sox are way ahead of the Yankees.

It's just like the Patriots. Who cares if you won those three rings. It's in the past. Sure, the Patriots are dominating, but who knows if they'll win it all this year. And same with the Raiders... it's all in the past. Raiders are horrible right now.

Red Sox are more appealing if you love the sport and players who play hard - the Yankees are like metrosexual corporate drones in suits (they even wear pinstripes, FCS!) rather than good ol' ball players.
