FEMA held a press conference giving reporters 15 minutes notice. No reporters were able to show up in that short of time so FEMA employees asked questions in there place.

What do you think of this?

Just when the disaster response was going ok, they had to do that. I don't care if the reporter is real or fake, I don't want to see the boss at FEMA say ``I'm very happy with FEMA's response so far.'' I want details on what is being done from him. If there are not many complaints, the press can report California is happy with FEMA's response.

This was a perfect opportunity for FEMA to prove themselves and they failed SOOOOOO miserably. I would not be surprised if the current head steps down after all of this just like that other guy did after Katrina. They said that they were trying to help and made a horrible mistake - that is so bogus! They saw this as an opportunity to give themselves some good PR and it blew up in their face. Fact of the matter is if they thought that they were gonna get caught they never would have done it in the first place, but they did get caught. DISGUSTING!

that is such a scam, at the same time I'm still disapointed with the fact that FEMA handled huricanne Katerina really horibly, and you know the FEMA director got fired after that well......... he is still in the Bush administration working a highly paying job, that ticked me off. But the news comference thing that is so screwed up which is why they did it. Its much safer having your people ask questions you wrote for them :)

I think it is totally pathetic. FEMA has a lot of respect they need to earn back after Katrina. This wasn't a plus in their favor. It just makes them look more incompetent than ever -- now that they got caught in the act of doing it. They are just a tool for this horrible administration anyway. Based on that, it's not like we could ever count on them.
