When I was growing up in the late '40s and '50s on TV all you got were old movies. Laurel and Hardy played all the time and were one of my favorites. I don't remember the names of the films but a couple that are my favorites were the one when they were trying to move this piano up about 40 flights of stairs. Another one was when they were held captive on a boat by gangsters and the gangsters wanted something to eat. There was no food aboard so the cut up some twine to make spaghetti. Then the bad guys made them eat it. Of course Babes in Toy land played every Christmas.
To the first one to answer. The "Who's on First" was Abbot and Costello.

Yes, I have seen almost every episode. It's been awhile, but I still recall a lot of the good lines, Hardy's exasperation, and Laurel's funniest lines, like when he was naming the Autumn months: " Septober, Octember, Nowonder". He was also the first I saw when going to punch someone putting up a fist and then punching with the other one. Maybe you just have to see them to enjoy them, I can't do them justice by description!

The first movie I ever saw was Stan and Ollie in "Babes in Toyland". Since then, I've seen just about every film they made together, and loved them.
Some of my favorites are from their silent days: Putting Pants on Phillip, Big Business, You're Darn Tootin'; from their sound shorts and features, Brats, Another Fine Mess, Sons of the Desert, The Music Box, Bonnie Scotland, Way Out West...but I still love Babes in Toyland (aka March of the Wooden Soldiers) the best of all!
