I'm really running out of storage space, and would like to get rid of all this stuff I don't need. Thanks :)

If you have Windows. Open Internet Explorer->Tools->Options and below you have the chance to delete history, passwords etc. Click that and another panel pops up where you just delete "History", then click Apply->OK and close the panel. Don't delete passwords or you are in trouble unless you have them written down.

Rowen is on the right track my dear, but if you follow what he says you will loose all of those URL's on your task bar and will have to re type them again.
Delete the Temporary files and Cookies.
Reboot
If that fails slap that son of yours around the ears and tell him Momma needs help.
