depends on what ports you have. most laptops have an s video out, so an s video card may work. if ur laptop has an hdmi out port, get an hdmi cable. To elaborate, the red white and yellow cord almost never connects to a laptop. Red white yellow are analog output signals, and those haven't been in laptops since the late 90's.

S-Video type cord, it all depends on your connection type though, and being that I am unaware of those I can't really give you a complete answer. S-Video and/or the yellow/white/red cord will even do the trick.

first,what model acer do you have ?

most Acers use s-video.but some now have HDMI.
my aspire has s-video.wifes gemstone has HD-DVD so it uses HDMI
