Big "couples" night tonight, too much food brought, too much wine but good times. When was your last fun night with friends?

Wow, I can't remember when we gathered with friends, I guess it's been about three months.
I won't consider Granny's funeral two days ago, though many of the family enjoy our company.
We are on the road alot, almost all of the time, working on our new venture.
That's when the gathering of friends will occur, once our resort is finished.
My husband and I do dine out and enjoy one anothers companionship.
I almost lost him about three years ago, a massive heart attach. So needless to say we spend alot of quality time together.

3 weeks ago. I have a great group of different friends and we all like doing the 'dinner thing' so it happens rather frequently at my home. I really enjoy it too! I have some dinners where I cook, or the guests come and we cook together (chicken marsala last time), and another group that we order in, bring the beverages, light a fire in the fireplace, turn on some great music and just enjoy each others company! It's a great relaxing time all the way around! And it doesn't have to be just couples, I've got a group of singles who are a hoot!

3 weeks in the past. I honestly have a effective crew of particular pals and all of us like doing the 'dinner element' so it takes position instead oftentimes at my homestead. I fairly journey it too! i have some dinners the position I cook, or the travellers come and we practice dinner mutually (chook marsala very last time), and an extra suitable team that we order in, carry the beverages, gentle a hearth in the hearth, activate some passable track and easily experience each and every others employer! it truly is a brilliant relaxing time the total technique round! And it would not would want to be in simple terms couples, i have gained a group of singles who're a hoot!

About 3 weeks ago, there's a group of us who walk our dogs together and over the years we have become good friends. We started meeting up once a month at each others houses for a night of girl fun, Its usually my turn in July or August and I always have a Linedance/ Country night as I have a really big garden. We often have theme nights, its all good fun.
You can see some pics from the last one in my 360 page. there's a wee photo album there.

We have a group of fine friends, who like to get together for dinner often at each others houses, we also play 21's and Canasta. So it was two weeks ago and not at my home this time. It was a good evening, but we are all finding that we can't go to the wee small hours of the morning any more. What a pity, those were the days, as you Americans say "hot damn".

Last years christmas party. The group got together and we are all 50 plus. We had a grand time. Recently we had another one planned but several members including my husband were under the weather and 1 on chemo. For old people we still have fun and act like youngsters.

On August 10th I had this HUGE birthday party for my dog. I had enough food for all my friends (32 people came) and she was the funniest dog they ever saw. She got presents which she promptly opened with no help from me and made everybody laugh by playing with each toy for awhile and then going to the next present. We played games and sang "happy birthday to Chewy" ... It went from 6 o'clock till 10 and a good time was had by all.

Back in December when staying with my one daughter we had a great buffet for some of my friends on her patio. Don't do that much anymore. And I starred this question and the Avatar is the wrong way around and says "you". Can't answer more, but used to have lots way back when. I hope you don;t mean groupies!

I never had an "official " dinner party.....right now...I have no friends to invite even if I wanted to give one.

Personally....I prefered unplanned events where people just do things without things being planned.

I live in an area now where there's gifts to bring for just being invited......sorry.....not my thing.

Sorry....I did..... I guess plan a dinner party. It was Thanksgiving at college. Not long enough of a break for people to go home.....and a very diverse campus. It was pot luck...Thanksgiving style......best dinner ever. Best Thanksgiving ever.

We have a dinner for special occasions at church and a dinner once a month there for seniors, but it's in the day time. We don't really do dinner parties, with my allergies, I have to be careful which get-togethers we attend. Glad you all had a nice eve.
