Now I know that prenatal vitamins are recommended for pregnant women, but I saw a question on here about hair growth and two people answered and stated that prenatal vitamins helps with hair growth, and you don't have to be pregnant to take them. So my question is: do prenatal vitamins actually aid with hair growth and would there be any side effects to taking them if you're not pregnant?

Thx to all for their INTELLIGENT answers in advance.

I started to take prenatal vitamins 7 years ago for my hair and I found that it not only helped my hair but also my nails and skin.

I have had no side effects from taking prenatal vitamins. I checked with my doctor as well to make sure it was safe for me to take them although I've never been pregnant and she said it was ok.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

I buy my prenatal vitamins at Wal-Mart.
