i agree with you bigrich. KOBE BRYANT is the best basketball player in the history of the nba. He is a living legend. How someone in the nba averages 5.4 assists and is called a ballhog. ******* looosers.Even when he was found not guilty of rape. For some reason people still convict him for that. If you also think if you are rich, ofcourse all women want to sleep with you.
i dont care what others say bad about kobe cause they have no evidence and cant prove it.
KOBE BRYANT IS THE BEST...........................

How is Kobe a great leader when he bitches about his teammates? He openly asks to be traded? And goes off on the teams management? That's not what a great leader does. They lead by example and make their team better. Kobe is far from that.
He does have great talent but he's too selfish. Kobe doesn't deserve an mvp. If Kobe was truly a leader he would get this team he has not to the playoffs no questions asked. Look at what Michael Jordan had he had role players that he made better because he wanted too win. Kobe doesn't do that. The Lakers have Lamar Odom, Luke Walton, Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm, Andrew Bynum , Derek Fisher who's back this year, and so on. The Lakers have some decent talent but will never go anywhere without a true leader and Kobe is obviously not that.

Have to agree with you on this one.

Kobe's the most talented player (okay maybe SG) in t he league right now; for most sports columnist as well as fans, that's indisputable. if you can even be compared to MJ, that shows some worth right there. i dont understand about the whole achievements part, yeah he had shaq to 3peat but I'm not sure that Shaq could have done it alone. They did have a good supporting cast besides those two anyway.

But after all that, his support suddenly diminished. As of last year, he didn't really have anyone anywhere on his level or even that worked well with him IMO. u give him a guy like kwame, who still hasn't fulfilled that 1st pick potential. odom, who probably conflicts with kobe's style. other than those two, everyone else are just considered role players.

if you looked at kobe play for team USA, Kobe's D said it all. he didn't have to touch the ball to be as effective . by shutting down the person he guarded, that gave the energy to his team. (i don't know why he can't do that for the lakers though).

im not sure that kobe deserves the MVP just yet though. i think there are still other players that are more deserving of the reward. if the lakers do get into the middle tier of the playoffs (5+ if thats even possible), then maybe he'll get it.

Jealousy? That's ignorant. He DOESN'T make his team better. Lebron did, and he came to the NBA as a non-college kid too. Kobe's off court shenanigans make people hate him. He WAS a wholesome guy until he got involved with that ugly semen collector.

Kobe is a ball hog, and always has drama surrounding him. "Boo hoo, I want to be traded... oh wait, no I don't... wait, yes I do". Leaders don't whine and cry about their situation. Kobe pushed Shaq away, and let the franchise trade him. I don't care for Shaq, but who do they have now??? If he was a true leader, he would have fought to keep their all-star team. The Glove didn't get his ring in LA.

Again, Lebron gets along with his team. He makes them feel comfortable. He had NOBODIES on his team, just like Kobe. Yet the Cavs went to the Playoffs and loved it regardless of how far they went. Kobe makes people uncomfortable with his "holier than thou" attitude. Great leaders are like Payton Manning, Wayne Gretzky, Tony Gwynn.

Even when their teams aren't playing well, they keep their team together and don't whine and cry.

And one last thing... how can Kobe be the MVP when the season hasn't even started?!?!

kobe talks about how his owner, GM, the franchise all suck, says to ship out Bynum, demands a trade on the radio, says just kidding the next day, then says he still wants a trade, hmm....sounds like great leadership to me, eh?

lets put it this way, if the NBA were just 1 on1 games, I'd give Kobe MVP then. he hasn't done nearly as much for these Lakers as Wade did for the Heat 2 years ago and Lebron did for Cavs last year (or Duncan has done for SA for like the last 7 years)

an MVP should be able to get past the first round of the playoffs at least once in 3 years....weak.

Kobe had a good team but his selfish style caused Shakil ONeal and others to move to other teams.

Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan were stars but they were also TEAM players. That's how they got open. When they were double-teamed they passed the ball to the open player.

Phil Jackson made it work in Chicago and even made it work for several years in LA, but Kobe had to be a one-man show.

As good as he is, team play attracts fans and team play wins championships.

I would rather watch John Stockton run the pick-n-roll with Karl Malone than watch Kobe do his one-on-one stunt.

cause people are trash talkers and speak what is on their mind. I hate dwayne wade, and lebron and anyother player because they suck!! that doesnt make sense does it??? exactly thats how people are talking. Myself being a hardcore lakers fan and kobe fan, i believe people just hate and hate and love to hate. They speak their minds when they honestly don't know ****, and just say what they have heard from other people's mouth. Like i honestly hate it when people at school ( who have no idea about the nba, and does not follow it ) say, ohhh kobe sucks, or the lakers suck. They dont know what they are talking about, and just say what they have heard in the past. All you can do is ignore and ignore. Honestly, when you think about it, no one in the NBA sucks.

I dont hate Kobe, I know he's the most talented player in the league and he's the best. He's just a Grade A ballhog. But that's not his fault because his teammates dont help him like he wants to be helped. He wants to have other all-stars next to him. When that happens, Im sure that he will pass the ball. But he doesnt trust his teammates enough right now.

Kobe is just dominating the league..
But Lakers owner is f*cking up..
So is kupchak..
Kobe should leave, lakers are going nowhere if kobe leaves..

Because Kobe is a selfish ball player. He thought he was the man, until Shaq left. Then he found out he wasn't the superstar he thought he was. He's a butthead.
