To be on the safe side, do it no later than 31-32 days before your last day there.

Make sure it is a full 30 days If you moving middle of October that would be the middle of September, not November which we are already past. Be aware than when you leave in the middle of the month most landlords will still charge you for the full month. Read your contract to see if you have to do anything besides cleaning.

NO. it is the most straightforward false impression by renters. maximum state guidelines require the safe practices deposit be go back interior of 30 days from the right of the employ. yet you, my pal, paid a secure practices deposit and not using a freelance and certain do no longer have a receipt for that funds or some thing on paper to carry close the way it change into utilized. Therefor, until eventually the guy who gained the safe practices deposit is more suitable trustworthy (do not carry your breath), you could kiss that funds so long. in case you stay in between the states that validates oral contracts, you've were given to forfeit your safe practices deposit if you're leaving before than you initially agreed to stay. on the different hand, because you do not have a employ or the different type of apartment settlement than you do not have any contractual settlement to pay employ in any respect and therefor go with no longer worry about paying the spectacular months employ.

Read your contract. I'm sure it states you must give notice for the rental period. Meaning if you want to move out in the middle of November, you need to give notice on before October 31st. Most likley you will still have to pay for the entire month of November unless you lease states that the rent can be pro-rated.

Most statutory month-to-month leases require thirty days notice from any ONE specific rent due date. If your rent is due on the first of the month, then you must give notice BEFORE November 1. If you give notice on November 10, it has the same legal effect as if you delivered the notice on November 30.

the sooner the better, that why the landlord has plenty of time to find another renter. and if you would want to, on your why out spread the word to your friends and other people that there will be an opening in the apt. but make sure if somebody you told does end up renting the apt. they say that they were referred by you. this way the landlord sees that your a good renter and will most likely give you all your deposit.

30 days before you move out permanitly...Once you give notice, you can start moving your things but you are responsible for the rent during those 30 days.

If any utlities are in your name, contact the company and let them know when to turn things off /on at your new place, forward your mail and let your friends/family know the new address.

Good Luck
