I used to be, but I'm not now.
Now, I'm fully SELF-accepting.

No , I am not. But you are quite right there
is a great many narrow minded individuals
who think that it's a disease that they can
catch, just by being in the same room.
Some people believe that unless a girl is
all lacy and frills she is has a chance to be
gay. Such a hoot & a half. I think about all
the "Tom-girls" I knew growing up, they
all had brothers. None of these girls turned
out to be gay.
And then I think about all the kind-hearted boys
that I knew growing up that were called "sissy",
because they didn't care for sports. None of
these gentle souls became gay.
And then I look at the kids that were the "jocks",
these are the ones that were over zealous at
being the "he-man", surprise...He just announced
to his family and friends that he was gay,
And Miss perfect Debutant, most popular
with the boys, the head cheerleader,
came to our Taking off pounding sensibly last week
and announced to the world, she was gay
and had been this way all of her life.
I think these people are more homophobic
than anyone, because they know the truth
and are afraid someone else, may also
have guessed the truth.

No, Im christian and I feel that most homophobics fear discovering that they too have homosexual desires. Phobic does indicate fear and what could they possibly fear that their going to catch it, lol. I dont recall it being contagious. On the other hand I do believe that it is a spirit and being that it is not a holy spirit, I would ask God for protection from transferring spirits and for his wisdom and knowledge to minister effectively to my sister or brother.
In response to j.h. then you should also be fornicatorphobic ,alcoholicphobic, liarphobic and so on and so forth and in your preaching remember that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We are saved by his grace not by what we do or dont do, least any man should boast, and it is only by the power of the holy spirit that one no longer sins. You were drawn with love and kindness, remember in your preaching to do the same. We are no longer under the law of Moses but this does not mean that we should let sin remain so that grace can abound but let us love Jesus so much for that sacrifice that he made for homosexuals and heterosexuals that we obey out of love. I beseech you brethen by the mercies of God offer your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God it is your reasonable service. We were all bought at a price our bodies are not are own to do with as we please, this applies to all.

I'm definitely not homophobic; I've got many homosexual friends and even had a girlfriend at one time.
I'm not homophobic, but I wouldn't be able to tell you whether or not it's "wrong" to be that way. It's not for me to judge.

No im not.Honestly I used to be a bit.I never hated homosexuals but I used to think it was a bit strange but ive realized that it is backward and they cannot be who they are not.I have realized they are the same as everyone else and my views were backward and close minded. The reason I thought that is I was brought up to by my backward family..

I am queer so no I ain't a homophobe, however they do ruin our society and culture, look we would be if it was opposites and being gay was normal and straight wasn't. Of course I dislike homophobia to the core but cannot disrespect straight people, just wish deeply they wouldn't disrespect us..

Not at all. I've had a lot of gay friends for many years. I've never thought there was anything wrong with being gay. I wasn't raised to be bigoted or racist.

No. I think being homophobic is the equivalent of being racist. Being gay or bi doesn't make you any less of a person or different from anyone else.

Definately not. Being homophobic is ridiculous- do you shun somebody because they have brown hair? Or hazel eyes? Of course not- one shouldn't be shunned because of something in their genes.
One of my closest friends is gay, and I just cant imagine hating him.
