yeh, i tend to trust people until they prove they can't be trusted. did i ever tell you about the forest ranger who was behind me, we were running along a narrow ledge maybe 100 feet up on the side of a cliff? a tree was rushing down at us. i heard the tree go past, just as i reached safety. i looked around, i was alone. he'd jumped, rather than get hit by the tree. luckily, he landed on a wider bench only about 10 feet lower down. he could have shoved me off the ledge, but he never. when he jumped, he didn't know there was another ledge, below. he'd only met me that morning.

If I don't trust a stranger I die? Okay, I'll trust a stranger. Honestly, though I don't make it a habit to let my guard down and I'm actually fairly paranoid, when it comes down to it I think most "strangers" want to help others anyway. Sure, some don't but the vast majority like to be helpful.

Yes, strangers are just people I haven't met yet. Granted there are people who wish to bring harm, but most people are good people who want the same things from life that I do.
If I were in a dangerous situation, I couldn't refuse help from you simply because I did not know you, that would be the ultimate in arrogance!

yeah---in a life or death situation, you have to trust whoever is there---and I do trust people, generally. I have been in a couple of interesting life or death situations and I am alive, (I think)

Depends on the situation red, many a time have I seen people watching another person being beaten & do nothing.
