But how will they keep track of people to make sure nobody double-dips?

They will work with the staff to be more alert and ready for when some1 trys to ''double dip''....they'll catch that person and send him back to his home.....in other words they should alert every1 to be ready for any base-stealing and then they'll be able to catch him and send him back to the dugout...hope this helps...great smart question.....sincerely

Heck... they don't care. Only kids will order one free taco. Most people will order their free taco, a large drink, and something else. Who's going to just eat one taco? Taco Bell will make millions off of this marketing scheme. Plus... half the people will forget all about it by the 30th.

I dont know about you guys but I think Coco Crisp and Royce Clayton of the Red Sox did a pretty good job advertising it the night before. They even explained what you do if you didn't get a taco. Go to a Taco Bell and say "I didn't get my taco!"

It's simple, I can't believe you didn't know this!

They use sophisticated face-scanning technology, synchronized by a highly-guarded central database on a server located at a secret spot estimated to be roughly 14.48 miles southwest of Salina, Kansas. Surveillance cameras scan every customer, check with the database, and results are instantly returned. If the customer has previously received a Free Taco, a hypnotic ray gun will zap the perpetrator on the spot, causing him or her to inexplicably order a steak quesadilla value meal instead and pay for it [GASP!].

Or, they just try to remember who might have taken one before, and hope that people don't abuse the offer. If they do, at least maybe they'll buy something in addition to the free taco, and it's a win-win for everyone.

Now that I think of it, that steak quesadilla sounds pretty good. Wonder why.......

Ha ha, that's a good question!

I guess there's no way to 100% guarentee it, because all the Taco Bells are going to be SO busy. But if they see the exact same person there within 4 minutes, I'm sure they'll stop them. But 2 hours? They'd never know.

Well I suppose that it won't really matter because not everyone in america will actually come in for a taco it will more than likely even it'self out. Plus if you're such a cheapass that you need to try to swipe a 2nd free 65 cent taco than more power to ya'. I doubt Taco bell would really care too much since it really costs them less than 1 penny to make these things overall.

Taco Bell will be America's biggest soup kitchen on October 30th. Every homeless person in the nation will be showing up for a free taco.

I had my one free taco. It was fresh and the regular stuff, not tofu and stale beans. So, go down and get yours. I doubt that you'll want to hang around Taco Bell for an hour or so for the counter man to "forget" you.

For one miserable taco? It costs like what, 60 cents? And for that you're going to wait a "reasonable" time before you go back for a second one instead of spending regularly for a meal? OMG! The stinginess or stupidities of some.

Who cares? I am entitled to a free taco, and that is all that matters. Besides, if they do discourage it, just simply go to another Taco Bell restaurant.

I was wondering the same thing. Also, what if multiple bases are stolen in the rest of the series, not just one? The date for games 3-7 is November 6th or something like that. Will they give each person one per stolen base........???
