hhmm very um...interesting!! i haven't been proposed but I've had people ask me out over the phone(like local business partners) whom I usually conduct business with over the phone. and I label all of those people as major freaks( and well unprofessional as well) but I don't think I would ever say yes to a marriage proposal from someone I've never met face to face. but i do know people who would do things like that. there are a lot of different people and our minds and hearts work in very different ways, so if the situation works for them that's great. and what the worse that can happen ?? they won't last. that's okay it'll be a learning experience and if they do great then good for them. don't pass judgment because people need to make their own mistakes and take their own chances and own their decisions. so be happy for her.

Have they just never met in person? Did they develop a relationship over the phone & on the internet? If that is so, then I would tell your friend to go for it! :o) Now, if they are complete strangers, then, yes that is crazy.

I would be shocked! I would think that the person had some kind of emotional problem! Someone you never met means someone you do not know, and I don't think it is wise to get into a situation without knowing a person real well.

it is crazy, but: (true story)
my favorite uncle and aunt met on a blind date, liked each other, and got married THAT NIGHT. they were married for 53 years until his death. absolute truth!
