no wonder my grandma chewed on those noodles for 5 days!

That's a useless piece of information. The things I keep together with rubber bands usually do not require refrigeration. If I keep my stock of rubber bands in the refrigerator, I may wake up one night, reach in and start chewing on a handful, thinking it was sushi.
